Join us for a 3-part series with funding expert Mina, guiding you through the Arts Council’s Develop Your Creative Practice funding application for grants up to £12k

Hannah Mina will workshop her tried-and-tested how-to-guide online, with an intro to the Develop Your Creative Practice grants and tips for project planning.

To make the most of these sessions, please ensure you are:

* ✍️ Eligible for the Develop Your Creative Practice criteria set by the Arts Council England. You will be a creative based in England, working in the fields of music, theatre, dance, visual art or literature. * FULL Criteria for the Develop Your Creative Practice is set by the Arts Council England. * ⏱Available for all 3 dates of the masterclasses from 6.30-8PM on:

* Session 1 30th March
 Session 2, 13th April 
Session 3, 20th April

* 👀 Have an idea of what your proposal might include

* This is an interactive masterclass and we encourage all participants to ask questions throughout the session. Reference materials will be sent post-event by email.

SESSION 1, 30th MARCH

In this session you will:

💸 Learn how to find open funds

  • We will have a look at some of the main funding bodies to see what funds are available
  • Show participants how to subscribe to newsletters and relevant social media pages
  • Learn how to register applicant profiles on websites such as the Arts Council and keep track of deadlines

💡 Look at examples of successful applications

  • We will have a read through some successful applications to analyse what makes them good, and keep them as examples we can refer back to for future sessions

SESSION 2. ,13th APRIL

In this session you will: 



💸 Learn how to write and tackle your budget plan

💡 How to map out your activity plan

SESSION 3, 20th APRIL

In this session you will:

💸 Develop an answer for the three key questions in the DYCP application

💡 Look at examples of successful applications

🗣 Give feedback on project ideas and application

What you need to qualify for the workshops:

– You are a creative working in the fields of music, theatre, dance, visual art or literature and want to apply for funding to develop your creative practice.

You have a project idea that is eligible for this funding – please check criteria for the Develop Your Creative Practice is set by the Arts Council England. Full details here

About Mina

Mina is an artist whose reputation has steadily amplified over the years thanks to two EPs for Portuguese label Enchufada, countless bootlegs and remixes, and her debut album “Flight Paths,” released in 2019 on her own label Earth Kicks. Her vibrant and melodic productions connect the dots between diverse styles, fusing together sounds from her London hometown, with rhythms from around the world. Mina has collaborated with vocalists and producers from Brazil, Jamaica and Ghana, most notably the vocalist and MC Bryte, who she tours internationally with. Alongside producing, Mina has a monthly residency on NTS radio, and is also part of the DJ collective Boko! Boko! with Tash LC and Juba. Mina has performed at prestigious venues and festivals around the world including Berghain, MoMA PS1, Nyege Nyege Festival and Primavera, and her tracks have been supported by key tastemakers such as Branko, Ben UFO and Jamz Supernova, serving only to further confirm her status as one of the UK’s most exciting talents.
